| Dec 06: Quit consumer finance job, got new corporate finance job.. then immediately went on 2 week holiday ..
Holiday details:
1. Whistler British Columbia, Canada.
What else but skiing. I'm proud to say I crashed only 3 times, so its remarkable compared to my previous attempt a decade ago at the very same place. Of all people I bumped into Lee Hsien Yang, looking all tanned & fit. What could he be possibly up to these days in North America?? World Poker Tournament? Catching the Canucks games?
Holed up at the Four Seasons Residences. I must say the Ski Concierge service is pretty darn effective as you simply pick your skis up near the chairlft, & then drop them off to some poor sod of a foreign student "winter interning" there. The power of globalization & outsourcing of jobs. You do learn alot about logistics evolution whilst on holidays.
Got to ride in a Cadillac Escalade; nothing special other than nice engine note from the big ass rod inside. Give me a Lexus anytime.
2. Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Its changed quite alot over a decade. Recent additions include the nearby Fashion Mall with daily fashion shows ( straight out of ANTM!).. Wynn hotel & Bellagio. We stayed at the Bellagio, which to me was not as stylish as the Ceasar. Heck my highest bet was $100. .extra small roller... sigh
